Football is my love; suffice to say my only love. I‘ve never really understood baseball or its twin brother cricket, the pitches and wickets, just difficult to grasp. Basketball has just too many rules and I spend more time remembering them on the court than actually throwing the ball in. Golf has got no energy and I loose interest after two holes. Hockey? The ball is just too small as I can barely see it on T.V, so I don’t even know when a team scores. Tennis perhaps is not as bad as the others, I mean it has got energy, it’s interesting and requires a lot of skill plus the rules are not hard at all.

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) on July 9 2009 announced the sack of veteran coach Roger lemerre. According to the decision was based on the inability of the National team to qualify for the 2010 world cup, due to an embarrassing run of form which has seen morocco pick up just 2 points in the three games played so far. It might even be a miracle to qualify for the 2010 Nations cup in Angola with the way they were playing.

Two transfers in the past month of Cristiano Ronaldo and KAKA to Real Madrid from Manchester United and AC Milan respectively have smashed the world transfer record twice in quick succession. This has a lot of people wondering if football can afford all this money now? I thought there was a Financial Crisis.
As expected the transfers have also triggered an avalanche of Big-Money moves and inflation in the transfer market put in the picture all the agents and scouts then we know football is in trouble.
A cursory look at the financial books of your club gives you a lot of reasons to be concerned. Save a few Top Clubs like Arsenal and Bayern Munich that operate on a model that allows for growth maturity and selective investment overtime in young players, the other top clubs notably Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man United, Chelsea, lately Man city etc etc (sorry if I mentioned your club) all run a failed system that tries to buy success and the price tag is quite high. It involves injecting money into a club to be able to pay six figure salaries hence to attract big players.
